Annoyed by the Ai traffic default sounds? Congratulations, you discovered a unique mod that is bringing to life every single Ai car, truck and bus in ETS2.
this mod is the continuation of my old mod that no longer works after SCS transition to FMOD:

Composition and how to use:

- this mod includes personalized FMOD sounds for all cars, SUVs, trucks and buses of the ETS2 default vehicles.
- some vehicles received a more realistic speed limit
- most of the Ai cars received personalized real colors
- Ai trucks received also a larger variety of colors
- Ai trucks received an increased spawn ratio (this will not affect density neither the ratio vs cars but is useful if you use truck packs)
- place this mod above any other mods that may include Ai vehicles (map mods, economy mods, company mods, etc)
- my best sound tweaks are traffic slider at about 35-40% and truck engine at 60-70%
- If you have access to my other sound packs available only on my Discord, please keep the base sounds mod on top
– not compatible with other mods which change Ai def files like for example mods which change the speed, colors, torque or ratio of the Ai default vehicles.
- mod is only compatible with game version 1.38 and above

Some sounds may not coincide with the reality at 100%, the author is disclaimed for any imperfection that may be seen as an error. Note that sounds for some rare vehicles are not always available

some errors are from scs, I will check soon if files need update, for Ai the update is rarely needed in general

Just installed this, & it's amazing! ALTHOUGH, I've noticed (via photo mode) in some cars the driver is sitting in the passenger seat & not behind the wheel 🤣 beside some trucks has no driver at all, is this automatic / AI driven trucks?? 🫢 lol!

so no, it cannot be from this mod since the game version 1.49 has not received any updates since december 2023!

Hi Cipus, thanks for this great mod. It worked well until today. ETS2 now consistently crashes after a few seconds when you switch to the drive modus from the menu (i.e. when you sit in the truck). The only change I did yesterday evening (yesterday noon it still worked) was updating the GeForce driver to the latest version and installing the latest Win11 regular update. When I disable this mod, ETS2 works fine again. All other mods incl. your AI traffic density mod are not causing any trouble. All other games are still working fine as well.
Would be great if you could look into this. Thank you!

the way sounds work in this game is weird because there might be fine in crowded cities, and have sound disruptions only at one single car. it's very likely that the game has some buffer limitation on sounds, and reducing other unnecessary sounds could help traffic. I noticed for example large (100 Mb) for 3 minutes loop sounds in cities, which for personal use I reduced to 15 seconds and only 2 Mb. I am still working in reducing these huge sounds so if I come with something clean I can share

I like the sounds in this mod quite a bit but am also finding it weird - as in I regularly hear a certain car sound but then see nothing nearby that could be the vehicle making that sound.

Was reading up on the comments and am now thinking that the note about FMOD not being able to add sound to all cars could be part of the issue. I do have a mod installed for traffic density and the sound I noticed could've come from another vehicle further out or long gone, while the car closer to me might have just been skipped entirely by the audio engine itself.

Nonetheless, still a cool mod.

compatible yes it should but depending on what ai sounds that mod includes, some Ai will take sounds only from the mod with higher priority so check and decide which should go first
